This Puerto Rican Contemporary Dance Company was founded in 1998 by Lolita Villanúa, its artistic and executive director, in collaboration with María Teresa Robles, director of its education program.
In the Christmas of 2004, Andanza initiated its project of free spectacles for the public in the Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC). The event gained immediate popularity by offering the audience the opportunity to participate, free of cost, of an interdisciplinary activity in which the arts dialogue in a common space, accessible to all citizens.
